Small Pictures is based in London, UK. We make videos and interactive online media for nice people, superb organisations and cool companies. We don’t do weddings.
As a company we are positioned very comfortably in the online space, occasionally sending out reminders to the broadcast world that we are now in their living rooms, spray painting the walls, even as they adjust the baby intercom, grab the blanket, and prepare to watch “Have I Got The Same Old Nonsense For You” for the second decade in a row.
Having said that, we are pleased to see that Stanley Baxter is still with us, we mourn the passing of Humphrey Lyttelton, and we annually celebrate the death of Spike Milligan by donating to Friends of the Earth and eating vegetarian food – in other words, we value our heritage, even whilst ripping it to pieces in order to remake civilisation into a fabulous place for young people to enjoy.
Formed in 2006, Small Pictures’ first project was writing, producing and marketing John Cleese’s exquisite song for the FIFA World Cup. Since then, the company has taken on the entirety of John’s online output and produces both his podcasts. The free podcast remains consistently in the top 50 in the iTunes charts despite it being entirely independently produced and relying wholly on scraps from the great man’s fabulous table of comedy treats.
However, we eventually managed to persuade him to put more time into online video, and hence the Headcast series and the hook up with video site, Seesmic.
